Prompts Are Products
Every prompt has a target customer (the model), a job-to-be-done, and acceptance criteria. The best prompters are product managers in disguise.
Three shifts to make today:
1) Define the deliverable first. Output format, length, tone — before context.
2) Include constraints, not just instructions. What it should not do is as important as what it should.
3) Iterate against examples. A prompt without a reference output is a wish.
Do this and you'll stop chasing the model. The model starts chasing you.
